The historic town of Simena is located in the modern day village of Kale in Turkey. The town was founded back in BC and is still a place where you can learn about the rich history of the region.

Inside the castle there is a temple, the ruins of which consist of several blocks, and a stoa associated with this temple. In addition, in the castle you can see a 300-seat theater with 7 rows of seats carved in the natural rock. It is the smallest theater among Lycian cities, and it still impresses with its stunning architecture.
Above the rock tomb are two walls from different periods. The Roman period wall consists of smooth blocks, while the late period wall has loopholes. Both walls are important historical artifacts that testify to the turbulent history of the city of Simena.
